Marquette is Dublin Airport’s largest food & beverage facility catering for up to 400,000 customers each day. The Marquette places emphasis on food quality and variety of the highest level. It caters for customers 24 hours a day in Terminal 1. With excess of 100,000 customers passing through each day, the Marquette must be capable of delivering exemplary standards on a continuous basis. Behind Marquette’s attractive Market foyer design lays a hub of service provisions which enables the unit to function at the highest level continuously.
JAK provided full design and consultancy services for this project taking on board

  • High production volume kitchen services
  • Ventilation and air conditioning climate comfort
  • High temperature hot water services
  • Water softener design ‘central plant’
  • Full BMS controls and interfacing with DAA ‘Airport Authorities’ main frame systems
  • Sprinkler system configuration and design coordination

Fire alarm design, cause and effect strategy & interfacing with DAA central fire alarm system

  • Lighting mode controls and screen setting
  • General electrical services
  • General essential electrical services

The ultimate challenge for us was to design a solution that

  • Worked within the complexity of the airport services provisions
  • Achieved the end user requirements in terms of performance, staff comfort, ability to deliver their product
  • Interfacing between localised devices and links to DAA airport services

The project is operating in T1 Dublin Airport and is so far is outweighing any initial potential delivering what is required from the designed services installation.
